Linda is the Project Director of the Sustainable Scale Up Cluster, working closely with the team to support Welsh food and drink businesses achieve their scale up ambitions. Linda also leads several European funded food projects as well as working closely with Welsh Government on the food export programmes.

Having worked on the Investor Ready Programme as a consultant, John joined the SSU Cluster as lead when it officially started in January. John still does some work on Investor Ready having facilitated raising finance and assisting turnarounds for food and drink businesses. John is a Chartered Marketer, a Fellow of the Charted Institute of Marketing as well as being HACCP and Food Safety Level Three trained. John is a practical and experienced manager of food and drink business.

Wyn brings many years of experience in finance and business strategy, which when combined with the skills and experience of colleagues gives the SSU Cluster a dynamic team ready and able to assist beneficiaries to reach their business goals.

As one of the Regional Cluster Managers of the newly formed Sustainable Scale Up Cluster, Paul's role will be to support food businesses throughout Wales, primarily in the operational areas of procurement, cost management, management information processes (ERP), inventory management and business resilience.

Joan is based in North Wales and is one of the Regional Cluster Managers. As an accountant, Joan helps business owners understand their financial systems and the important information they contain. Joan also helps them find investment, be it through grants, financial institutions, or private equity.

Anja started her position as Project Administrator for the Sustainable Scale Up Cluster in May 2021 and her work involves providing administrative support for the delivery team, such as meeting notes, CRM updates & reporting. Anja is also a qualified internal auditor and as part of BIC’s QMS team ensures that work on this project follows BIC’s QMS procedures.

BIC Innovation is currently responsible for the delivery of government and European funded projects to a value of over £10 million. Alun is involved in most of these and is currently leading a £0.5M project to improve the financial acumen of SMEs in the Food Sector. Alun advises a range of SMEs undertaking feasibility studies, business planning, introduction of financial systems, financial monitoring and finance raising.
